My first Red Cross experience at Ground Zero, was where I saw a group of strangers become a team devoted to providing ongoing support and assistance to all who were working there – feeding, clothing and housing hundreds of them at a time. It was both humbling and inspiring. Seventeen years later after my daughters were grown and launched, I returned and became a DAT supervisor at MNYN Chapter where I found another amazing group of selfless colleagues who give all they can to victims of fire and flood. Having recently moved upstate I am proud to be in the Mid-Hudson Chapter of ENY Region. Red Cross volunteers are some of the finest people you’ll ever meet and it is an honor to be among them.
