Community Disaster Program Manager Max Sanchez from our Hudson Valley Chapter traveled to California. “I am honored to deploy to assist with the ongoing wildfire response efforts in Los Angeles.

“As a member of the American Red Cross, I knew it was only a matter of time before different regions, including ours, would be called upon to support the people of California during this critical time.

“The situation we are facing is extremely fluid and unprecedented, with countless lives and homes at stake. It is a stark reminder of the challenges posed by disasters and the resilience required to overcome them. I feel incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to lend a helping hand to those in need and to work alongside all the dedicated volunteers and staff.

“Together, we are striving to provide comfort, support, essential resources and, most importantly, hope to those affected by these devastating wildfires. I urge everyone to stay informed and to support the Red Cross in our mission to help communities in crisis.
