This Tuesday was a special day for the Red Cross in New York State, as representatives from Greater New York, Eastern New York, and Western & Central New York were welcomed to the NYS Assembly Chamber during the day’s legislative session. Assembly members Angelo Santabarbara, Addie Russell and Joseph Saladino each spoke about the positive work of the Red Cross in their communities as they introduced a large contingent of Red Crossers to the rest of the Assembly.
See how it all unfolded in this 3-minute video clip from the Assembly’s session proceedings:
Throughout the day, Red Cross staff and volunteers were stationed in the lobby of Albany’s Legislative Office Building to greet and educate passersby about the organization’s work in New York State. Meanwhile, Red Cross representatives met one-on-one with elected officials from their districts to discuss the importance of their efforts to serve New Yorkers in every community.
