Thanks to a grant from the Wounded Warrior Project, the American Red Cross Fort Drum station was able to provide a therapeutic weekend retreat for soldiers from the Warrior Transition Unit on Fort Drum as well as Army and Navy veterans from New York’s North County.
Tailwater Lodge in Altmar, NY provided excellent accommodations, while Gary Taylor and Zero Limit Adventures hosted a special fly fishing excursion for the group. Red Cross staff and volunteers from the North Country and Mid-Hudson Valley chapters assisted in hosting the weekend, and were able to capture a few photos from an unforgettable weekend.
It is an honor to be able to serve those who have given so much in service to our country.
