Since last Sunday, more than 20 Red Cross workers have been deployed to support disaster relief operations in Louisiana and California. Many of them are on their second or third deployments this year, after a spike in major disasters across the country.
Edna Quesnel, a long-time volunteer from Ticonderoga, is departing for Louisiana today. Before her flight, she took some time to talk to us about why she continues to leave the comforts of home to help those in need:
