Hurricane Florence 2018

The American Red Cross is responding to devastating, prolonged flooding in the wake of Hurricane Florence, and needs financial donations to be able to support thousands of people affected by this disaster. Wherever you are, you can help by visiting redcross.org, calling 1-800-RED CROSS, or texting the word FLORENCE to 90999 to make a $10 donation.

Around Eastern New York, generous partners are stepping up to make it as convenient as possible to donate to the Red Cross and help people affected by Hurricane Florence. Here’s a list of local ways to lend your support:

To support Hurricane Florence relief efforts, $20-25 from every Zombie Run registration will be donated to the Red Cross. Learn more and register here by September 28!
  • Poughkeepsie Galleria – One Day Fundraiser

  • News10 ABC – Hurricane Florence Telethon
Last week’s LIVE telethon raised more than $54,000 to help people affected by Hurricane Florence! We are incredibly grateful to the News10 ABC team, the staff and volunteers who set up and manned the phones all night, local restaurants Yono’s and Swifty’s who donated delicious food to keep everyone going, and most importantly the nearly 800 donors who called in and pledged their support. Thank you all!

Donations made to the Red Cross for Hurricane Florence enable disaster workers to prepare for, respond to and help people recover from this disaster. We’ll continue to update this list as additional local donation opportunities are confirmed.
