The 2018 Real Heroes Breakfast was an inspirational event, recounting ten stories of courage, kindness, and life-changing impact from across the Capital Region.

In case you missed it — or if you simply want to feel inspired all over again — we encourage you to watch the videos profiling our 2018 Red Cross Real Heroes:

Special thanks to News10 ABC for working with us to produce the videos seen above.

You can also watch follow-up interviews with several of this year’s Real Heroes in local news stories on:

And if you were there, be sure to check and see if you were SEEN by the Times Union (photos by Joe Putrock):

Real Heroes embody the Red Cross mission. They step up to alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies, and they remind us of just how much good is all around us. It’s truly a pleasure to highlight new stories of heroism each year at this heartwarming event!

Every Red Cross Real Hero is nominated by someone who recognizes and wants to celebrate their contributions to our community! Please keep an eye out for the opportunity to nominate Real Heroes again in Spring 2019!

In the meantime, you can join the Red Cross right now to help make a difference in your community. Consider volunteering, giving blood, or making a donation to support our lifesaving work.

In closing, we’d like to once again congratulate our 2018 Real Heroes, and thank our Real Heroes Breakfast sponsors:
