“There’s no greater joy than serving other people.”

Rob Rivera of Syracuse, New York knows what it means to be of service. He worked as an EMT in an ambulance unit, served 12 years in the military, and volunteers with the American Red Cross.

Rob is a professional photographer and videographer. He is using those skills on the Red Cross response to the Southern California wildfires.

As a Red Crosser, Rob has deployed to hurricanes, tornadoes, floods and wildfires.

“It’s been very rewarding, incredibly fulfilling.  Being on the inside, you really have an understanding of what actually happened to people. You know they’re going to be okay. We’re going to be there for them and make sure they get the services that they really need.”
